Travel

Travelling is my preferred pastime. Travelling brings me a broader perspective of life through seeing the outlook of other people in differing cultures. It has rounded me significantly and enables me to think more rationally.

Competition

I love to compete against myself and find success that way. I have raced professional cyclists, ran a marathon, and played in my local tennis league all because it satisfies my desire to improve and feel a sense of accomplishment.

Sustainability

I am focused on moving forward while aligning my vision with realistic environmental goals that are currently being set by governments and corporations alike.

Cycling

I travelled to the U.S. to attend college on a cycling scholarship. I captained my team to a podium spot at the 2019 Collegiate Cycling National Championships. I am currently a senior member of the SCAD cycling team as I pursue my Master’s degree.

Charity

In 2020, I worked with an artist to create a print of my college town, Banner Elk. I branded, marketed and sold this print locally and further afield to college alumni all over the world. The profits from this project were split between the Blue Ridge Conservation Charity and the Lees-McRae College School of Business. The rights of the design were also donated to the School of Business for sales classes to use as a product to sell in the future.

Community

During my time at college in North Carolina, I spent my spare time helping out on a local, family farm. The farm operates via a community supported agriculture model where growers and consumers pledge to support a farm operation and share the risks and benefits of food production.
