It is my pleasure to provide this letter of recommendation for Matthew Armstrong.  I was Matthew’s supervisor from January 31, 2020 to August 28, 2020 as he worked as a student intern for our real estate firm, Engel & Völkers Banner Elk.

Matthew served as our marketing manager and created successful print and online campaigns.  He was instrumental in establishing our shop’s online presence.  Matthew developed an outstanding rapport with numerous publications we advertise in and was able to negotiate effective placement and discounted rates.

Although very much a team player, Matthew is also a self-starter.  He is very detail oriented and great at time management.  For example, while working with our firm, Matthew kept his vigorous training schedule as a valued member of Lees McRae College’s cycling team, excelled at his courses, and volunteered at a local farm for their CSA program.

In his short but productive time with us, Matthew developed lifelong friendships with our staff.  We always look forward to his visits and would welcome him back as part of our team if his life and career path should allow.
